Integrative Medicine

Patient Centered Medical Care.

How many years have you been looking for answers?

Three? Five? Ten? Long enough to have a folder of lab work, a drawer full of supplements, and a quiet fear that this is just how it's going to be from now on.

It isn't. And you don't have to keep figuring this out alone.

The fatigue. The brain fog. The cycles, the weight, the anxiety that shows up out of nowhere. You've been to the doctor. You've been told everything looks "fine." And still — something isn't right.

At The WAE Clinic, we listen to the whole story. We test deeper. And we build a plan that treats you — not your chart.

Is this for you?

This is where most people land when they've run out of options.

Patients often tell me they came here after years of being passed from one specialist to the next. Labs come back "normal." Prescriptions stack up. Symptoms get explained away as stress, age, motherhood, or hormones — and nothing actually gets better.

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place:

  • You're exhausted all the time, even after a full night's sleep
  • Your weight won't budge no matter what you do
  • You feel anxious, foggy, or emotionally flat — and it's getting worse
  • Your cycles are off, or perimenopause is hitting harder than you expected
  • You suspect your hormones, your gut, or your thyroid — but no one will run the right tests
  • You're tired of being told "everything looks fine" when you know it isn't

You don't need another prescription. You need someone to take the whole picture seriously.

Susan Headshot 8.jpg

I started The WAE Clinic because I lived this.

I saw nine providers before anyone took my symptoms seriously. I was on twelve medications and still getting worse. I was a nurse practitioner trained in conventional medicine, and I couldn't get answers inside the same system I worked in.

So I went looking for them. I trained in functional and integrative medicine. I started doing the deeper work on myself — and for the first time in years, I felt like me again.

That's why this clinic exists. Not to manage symptoms. Not to hand out another pill. But to help women stop surviving and start living restored.

What makes our care different

Most clinics are built around 15-minute visits and prescription pads. We're built around your story, your labs, and your timeline.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • We spend real time with you. Your first consult is at least an hour. We want the full picture — your history, your symptoms, what you've tried, what's still not working.
  • We test what others don't. Comprehensive hormone panels, gut testing, advanced metabolic markers, nutrient status, inflammation. We look for what's actually driving how you feel.
  • We blend the best of every tool we have. Prescription medications when they're the right answer. Bioidentical hormones, peptides, nutrition, and lifestyle when those are. Nothing is off the table, and nothing is forced.
  • You leave with a plan, not a guess. A real roadmap. Step by step. Built for your body, your life, and where you are right now.

What we help women and men with most.

  • Fatigue, brain fog, and low energy
  • Hormone imbalance, perimenopause, and menopause
  • Weight that won't come off despite "doing everything right"
  • Gut issues — bloating, reflux, food sensitivities, IBS-type symptoms
  • Thyroid concerns, including symptoms with "normal" labs
  • Autoimmune flares and unexplained inflammation
  • Anxiety, mood shifts, and sleep disruption
  • Long-term wellness, prevention, and optimization

If you don't see your specific concern here, that's still a conversation worth having. Book a Discovery Call and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

3. Your Personalized Plan Once your labs are back, you and Susan sit down to walk through everything — what's going on, what to do about it, and how we'll support you through it.

4. Ongoing Support Programs, memberships, and follow-up care so you're not figuring this out alone.

What is Integrative Medecine?

Integrative medicine is a holistic, patient-centered approach that combines conventional medicine with evidence-based complementary therapies to treat the mind, body, and spirit. It focuses on root-cause healing, prevention, and personalized care, blending nutrition, lifestyle changes, herbal medicine, mind-body techniques, and traditional treatments for optimal wellness.

Unlike conventional medicine, which often targets symptoms, integrative medicine addresses underlying imbalances, promoting long-term health and resilience. It benefits those with chronic conditions, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, gut health issues, and stress-related disorders.

What are the 5 domains of integrative medicine?

The five domains of integrative medicine focus on a whole-person approach to healing:

  1. Mind-Body Medicine – Uses techniques like meditation, yoga, and mindfulness to improve mental and physical health.
  2. Biologically-Based Practices – Involves natural remedies like herbal medicine, nutrition, and supplements.
  3. Manipulative and Body-Based Practices – Includes hands-on therapies like chiropractic care, massage, and acupuncture.
  4. Energy Medicine – Focuses on balancing the body’s energy with practices like Reiki and sound healing.
  5. Whole Medical Systems – Traditional healing approaches like Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and naturopathy.

What is an example of integrated medicine?

An example of integrative medicine is treating chronic back pain using a mix of conventional and holistic therapies:

✔ Conventional Care: Medications, physical therapy, imaging (X-rays, MRIs).
✔ Holistic Therapies: Acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage, meditation, and anti-inflammatory nutrition.

This blended approach treats both symptoms and root causes for long-term healing.
